New Scouting Year 2014-2015

A New Exciting Year; 2014-2015 will be Start at September 7th Sunday!

Scouts have a lot of fun discovering new things and experiences they wouldn't have elsewhere. Along the way they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world.

Scouting offers a world where you can discover the best in yourself and the best in others. Dollar for dollar, our programs provide significant value. They run all year round and offer adventures that youth will remember for a lifetime!

Description of Event The 33rd Richmond Rover crew and Venturer company will be joining the annual winter camp for all senior members of Scouts and Girl guides in BC. This is a unique camping experience with only the senior sections. The campsite at Manning Park provides the camper with an abundance of snow which won’t be possible in the lower main land. Various challenging and fun activities will entertain our campers in one the largest camping events in BC. Date: Feb 6, 2015 (Friday) – Feb 8, 2015 (Sunday) Drop-off Time: 17: 30 PM Arrival @ Lansdowne Mall Parking Lot 5300 Number 3 Rd, Richmond Pick-up Time: 14: 30 PM Departure @ Lansdowne Mall Parking Lot 5300 Number 3 Rd, Richmond Location: Manning Park Cambie Creek Nordic Area Fee: $70.00 Remarks/Notes: Winter clothing and snow boots required

Richmond Area winter camp 2015

Date Friday, Jan 30-­‐ Sunday, Feb 1, 2015 Time: We will be organizing a chartered bus leaving Richmond at 6:00pm on Friday evening (MAY BE CHANGED to SATURDAY morning at 5am) and we are due to be back on Sunday Afternoon around 2:00pm Location Manning Park Lone Duck 2 Fee $65 – (includes Campfee, Two way Transportation, Food) Badge Design We will be accepting badge designs up until Dec 10, 2014.

Seymour Winter Camp

It’s that time of the year again! Time to enjoy the last little bit of winter and go camping in the snow! Just like last year, the Cub Pack will be participating in a one night overnight camp at Mt. Seymour Group Campsite where they will learn how to cook outdoors in the winter along with some other winter camping skills, skills that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to learn in the normal classroom. Date: Saturday January 24th 2015 – Sunday January 25th 2015 Drop-off Time: 1:00pm on Saturday @ Mt. Seymour Parking Lot #1 / Mt. Seymour Group Campsite Pick-up Time: 11:00am on Sunday @ Mt. Seymour Parking Lot #1 / Mt. Seymour Group Campsite Location: Drop-off and pick-up at Mt. Seymour Group Campsite/ Parking Lot #1 (keep driving up Seymour Rd. until you hit the first parking lot, that is the campsite) Fee: $25
