Over the last weekend, our group went to Maple Rid

Over the last weekend, our group went to Maple Ridge 🍁 @scoutscanada Camp Whonnock for our year-end camp before the summer break. There, we worked through programs themed to the civilizations of the 7 continents 🗺. Despite the hot hot weather 🥵 and all the mosquito bites 🪰, we all had a great time learning and playing games. 💪Great job to the Beaver and Cubs camping for their first time. 👏Thank You to all scouters amd adults for putting this on. More adventures to come after summer ☀️

What a way to start off the Summer! We ended our school year with a family camp packed with activities. Our group had a 3 day 2 night camp at Camp Byng on Sunshine Coast. For many of our participants this was their first camp. Glad to be back focusing on core scouting activities. Looking forward for more fun programs as we head into Summer and Autumn.

LEVELLING UP!

Our Scouters were hard at work learning and training with other Scouters over the past weekend at a leadership development camp. We shared and tested our skills, done pioneering projects and personal development, drilled intensively and followed commands. Very grateful for the elder Scouters to keep traditions alive so we can carry it forward to our youth.

There is no better way to build scouting bonds than to work across groups and share best practices at camp.

BUILD CONFIDENCE

When the group takes a break, it does not mean that our scouters take a break.

During this spring break weekend, some of our scouters participated in a Woodbadge 2 training camp with other partner scout groups. This advanced leadership course equips scouters with tools on strategies, skills, traditions, safety, personal progression and better prepares them for section leadership.

There is no better way to build scouting bonds than to work across groups and share learn from each other.
